In 2020, after 48 years of exemplary service with Haggen Food & Pharmacy, Lee Reynolds retired. To call Lee passionate would be a considerable understatement. Lee lived for sharing the finest fresh produce with guests, he loved being out on the farms with growers and the bonds he forged with countless professionals in his field is what made the Haggen produce department world class. Equally strong were the relationships that Lee developed with each of the Haggen produce teams and with his colleagues.
Many thought of Lee as their mentor and found him by their side throughout their career, encouraging each to expand and grow their skills. The Lee Reynolds Memorial Scholarship will award $5,000 to two students from select counties in Western Washington who are passionate about agriculture and plan on pursuing a degree or career in the field of agriculture.
