Join a local nonprofit board

Whatcom Community Foundation’s Board Match program is designed to encourage new leaders from the community to learn more about what it means to be a successful board member, and to connect them with opportunities to engage in board service with an organization that is important to them.

Board Match is currently being redesigned, with plans to relaunch the program in early 2024. To be added to the list of potential participants, please email wcf@whatcomcf.org

Join the 2024 Youth Philanthropy Project

The Whatcom Community Foundation Youth Philanthropy Program (YPP) has been created for students to engage in knowledge and experiential based learning opportunities that foster leadership, technical and critical thinking skills.  YPP connects youth to the community through charitable giving. Students will focus their time and effort on powerful impact of grant award making, educating the community about the YPP program, learning leadership skills, and bringing in new members for 2025.
