Heather Engels was born and raised in Bellingham. She graduated from Bellingham High School in 1992 and the University of Washington in 1997. Heather loved children and felt everyone should have an opportunity to further their education. She was excited at the prospect of helping Bellingham High School students follow their dreams. Her family created the Heather Marie Engels Memorial Scholarship to honor their wonderful daughter and sister; and to thank family and friends for their contributions.
