WHAT’S NOW

January marks the celebration of MLK Day and Treaty Day—two significant observances that honor the pursuit of justice, equity, and the enduring rights of marginalized communities in Whatcom County.

WHAT’S NEXT

Paying for college, technical school, beauty school or any post-secondary certification can be expensive and overwhelming; we get it!
Whatcom County's 2025 Scholarship Application will be available for student applicants starting on 01/26/2025 and closing in late February on 02/27/2025.

What did your contributions make possible this year?

$10.9 million in local investments – including grants, loans and guarantees – to organizations working hard across Whatcom County to address food security (a huge need), housing access, arts and culture, disaster preparedness, education and so much more. Your gifts also helped complete the first phase of The Millworks, expand the childhood savings program, and implement great ideas for how we can all be better neighbors.
