SMALL & NONPROFIT BUSINESSES FUND

Investing in local success. At WCF, we believe that thriving small businesses and strong nonprofits are the heartbeat of a vibrant community. The Small Business & Nonprofits Impact Investment Fund is designed to strengthen these critical community assets by providing flexible, innovative financial tools.

How the Fund Works

The fund provides revolving loans, loan guarantees, and equity investments to help mission-aligned businesses and nonprofits grow and sustain their impact. Whether offering a bridge loan to a nonprofit waiting on reimbursable grant funding or investing in a local business committed to community well-being, this fund fills gaps that traditional financing often cannot.

Participation Options:

  • Philanthropic contributions
  • Donor Advised Fund (DAF) assets, either loaned to the fund or directly invested

Types of Investments:

  • Bridge loans for nonprofits, ensuring they have the cash flow needed to continue services without interruption.
  • Ownership and equity investments in mission-aligned businesses that create positive social or environmental impact.
  • Small-business loans that exceed or fall outside of micro-finance program limits, helping entrepreneurs achieve sustainable growth.

Investment Timeline

Most investments are made with a time horizon of up to 5 years, though equity investments may extend beyond that, depending on the opportunity.

Why Invest?

Your investment in this fund creates a ripple effect of positive change—strengthening local organizations, supporting job creation, and building a more resilient, inclusive economy. As funds are repaid, they are reinvested into new projects, multiplying the impact of your contribution.

Be part of a powerful movement that lifts our community.
